Summit Air is announcing the addition of new service to its growing network. It has decided to operate the new route, Kathmandu to Khanidada Airport in Khotang.

It takes around 25 to 35 minutes to fly from Kathmandu to Khotang district. The airport is situated in Khalle VDC of Khotang district, Sagarmatha zone of eastern Nepal. For the construction of Manmayaairport, a resident of Khotang, Mr. Rudra Rai had contributeda piece of land which is 600m in length and 600m wide.

The Manamaya Rai Khanidanda airport, which is nearest to the district headquarters Diktel, has been blacktopped. The blacktopping of the airport was completed at the total cost of Rs. 70.24 million of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. The blacktopped runway is 590 m long and 20 m wide. The blacktopping of the airport and the addition of flight services is expected to benefit the locals here as the direct road transportation to the district is usually cut off during the monsoon. Summit Air launches the new service in order to help the local people of Khotang district.
