Lukla
Lukla is a small town at the foot of Mt.Everest at an elevation of 2,860 m (9,380 ft) served by Tenzing Hillary Airport. It is the gateway for all treks to the Everest region.The most popular destinations are Namche Bazar, Kalapathar,Gokyo Lake ,Everest Base Camp and the Everest Summit. Lukla is dotted with shops and lodges catering to tourists and trekkers, providing western-style meals and trail supplies. Flights are available round the year and the high seasons are between March -May and September-November.
