Ramechhap, served by Manthali Airport, is another way of catching flights to the Everest Region. During the high seasons (March-April and October-December) all the flights to Lukla are rerouted to Ramechhap Airport to avoid flight delays and backlogs. One can reach Ramechhap only by road,which is a four hours’ drive from Kathmandu.There are various options like regular public buses, rental cars, tourist buses and shared jeeps to travel to Ramechhap.When in Ramechhap one can enjoy the scenic view of Tamakoshi River and even go rafting.
